How to sync and view reporting data from Meta Ads

Sync the Agorapulse reports tool with data from Meta Ads Manager!

Updated this week

Agorapulse's Meta Ads reporting integration provides a comprehensive solution for analyzing both organic and paid social media performance on Instagram and Facebook. This integration eliminates the need for manual report creation, consolidates data from multiple sources, and provides a unified view of social media performance in a single place. By integrating data from Meta Ads Manager directly, you can streamline workflows and make informed decisions regarding your campaign using data-driven insights.

Please Note: The ability to sync data from Meta Ads is available depending on the subscription plan you have. If you would like to change your plan to access this feature, feel free to reach out to us here.

How to connect a Meta Ads account

You can connect your Meta Ads account directly in the Reports tool. After navigating to Reports, you will find the Ad accounts sub-menu.

You will then:

1. Select Connect Meta ad account or Manage Ad Account*
*If you have already connected an ad account previously

2. In the Ad accounts pop-up, press + Connect Account

3. After being redirected to Facebook, accept ad-related permissions

4. Select the box next to the relevant ad accounts and press Add __ account(s)

You can then add or remove ad accounts moving forward within the Ad accounts pop-up as shown previously.

A report will be created for each Meta ad account under the Ad accounts sub-menu within Reports. We will retrieve data from both Facebook and Instagram (if the ad account has results for both). Meta Ads data is synced automatically, and API requests are made in real-time. We do not store any data for this report in an effort to keep data up-to-date and accurate.

Please Note: You will need Owner or Manager-level permissions within Agorapulse and an Advertiser or Admin role in Meta Ads Manager to connect a Meta Ads account.

How to view Meta Ads reporting data

The Meta Ads report will display information per ad account. We will display reporting data in four separate tabs, providing in-depth insights that are organized granularly. These sections are:

  • Overview - A high-level performance summary of the ad account

  • Campaigns - A detailed view of all campaigns linked to the ad account

  • Ad Sets - A granular view of ad sets within each campaign

  • Ads - A specific drilldown on individual ads

Each section is structured efficiently to allow users to easily analyze data on each level. We have outlined the specifics of each tab below.

Date Range Selection

Users can select a date range and a comparison period (if applicable), in order to monitor changes over time. The date picker allows for a maximum period of one year.
