The Advocacy feature allows organizations to expand their reach by inviting individuals, called advocates, to share or engage with selected social media content. Advocates may be employees, partners, or external collaborators assigned to specific campaigns.
Each campaign includes predefined content and guidance on how to interact with it, such as sharing a link or engaging with a post.
This article outlines four key steps for participating in advocacy campaigns and using the Advocate Space effectively.
Step 1 - Accept the Invitation
You will be invited to participate in advocacy campaigns by email. Look for a subject line such as “Advocacy program by __".
The invitation contains a magic link that provides secure access to your Advocate Space. After locating the invitation in your email:
Open the invitation email and click the Access your employee space button
The link is valid for 7 daysOn your first login only, you will be prompted to complete your profile:
- Enter your first name and last name
- (Optional) Upload a profile picture
- If you have previously joined another Advocate Space or are an Agorapulse user, some fields may be pre-filled and locked for editingClick Save & Continue to complete profile setup
After submitting your details, you will be taken directly to your Advocate Space homepage. From there, you can view and respond to all campaigns that you have been added to.
Step 2 - Respond to an Advocacy Campaign
Once you have accepted your invitation and completed your profile, you will receive an email notification each time you are added to a new advocacy campaign. There are two types of advocacy campaigns:
Link Campaigns: You will see the external URL to share.
Post Campaigns: You will see the social network name (e.g., "Instagram Post") with its corresponding logo
To respond to a campaign directly from the email:
Open the campaign email and click Discover the content
On the campaign page, review the content that has been prepared for sharing.
If it is a link campaign:
Click Copy content to copy the suggested text to your clipboard.
Scroll down and click the icon of the social network where you wish to share the content.
In the pop-up window, the link preview will appear automatically. Paste the suggested copy and click Post.
If it is a post campaign:
Scroll down and select your preferred method of engagement.
In the pop-up window, choose one or more of the following:
Like the post
Leave a comment
Share the post
Note: To ensure your engagement is tracked, make sure to interact with the content using the options provided on the campaign page.
Step 3 - Navigate to the Advocate Space Homepage
You will be automatically redirected to your Advocate Space homepage after completing your profile setup.
To return to the Advocacy Space homepage at any time, whether viewing a campaign or after accessing a campaign email, click the logo and space name in the top-left corner of the screen.
All active advocacy campaigns that you have been added to will appear as individual cards. Each campaign card displays:
A title
A cover image or content preview
A start date
A description
A Read More call-to-action
Campaigns are ordered by most recent creation date, with the newest campaign featured at the top of the list.
Note: If no campaigns appear, it means you have not been added to any active campaigns yet.
Click Read More on any campaign card to open its dedicated campaign page. You may then follow the steps above to respond to this campaign.
Step 4 - Log Out and In to the Advocate Space
When you are finished working in the Advocate Space, you can follow these instructions to log out:
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner
Select Log out from dropdown menu
To log back in to the Advocacy Space, follow these instructions:
Visit the Advocate Space log in page
Enter your email in the provided field and click Login
A login link will be sent to your emailOpen the login email and click the Login to [Advocate Space Name] button
You will be redirected to your Advocate Space home page
Your session will remain active for up to 60 days, unless you manually log out or clear your browser cookies. If your session expires, simply request a new login link using your email address.
