Agorapulse allows you to edit the text of a Facebook post after it has already been published, without leaving the app. This is useful when you need to correct a typo, update a detail, or add a mention or hashtag to content that is already live on your Facebook Page.
Editing is limited to the post text and location. Media, link attachments, and publishing details cannot be changed after publication.

Please note: Editing a published post is available on all subscription plans and applies to Facebook Pages only. You must have permission to publish content immediately, and the post must have been published through Agorapulse. This feature is available on desktop only and is not implemented in the mobile app.
How to edit a published Facebook post
Published posts are edited from the detailed post view in the Publishing Calendar. Editing is retroactive, so posts published before this feature's release can also be edited.
To edit a published post, you will need to:
Select the Calendar icon in the left-hand navigation to open the Publishing Calendar
Click on the published Facebook post you want to edit
In the Post Preview, click on the Pencil icon on the right side of the preview.
Note: Posts that were not published through Agorapulse cannot be edited
While updating your post, the following items can be updated:
Text content
Mentions
Hashtags
Custom fields
Emojis
Location
Once you are done updating your post, click the Checkmark (✓) to update your post or the X to discard your changes.
Note: Closing the Post View before clicking the Checkmark discards your edits without a confirmation prompt.
The post view remains open while the changes are sent to Facebook. Once the update is confirmed, the preview refreshes with your modifications, and the updated preview also appears in shared calendars. Edits are recorded in the History tab of the post view.
Please note: When a post is published to multiple profiles at once, only the post you opened will be edited; the other posts in the group remain unchanged.
A warning is displayed before you publish your changes. To apply the same correction across the group, repeat the steps above for each Facebook post individually.
What cannot be edited in a post
The following cannot be changed after a post is published:
Media: Images, videos, and thumbnails cannot be added, replaced, or removed
Link attachments: The link preview generated at the time of publication cannot be modified.
Publishing details: The social profile, post type, and publication date cannot be changed
Editing is also unavailable in the following cases:
Social profiles other than Facebook: Editing published posts is currently supported for Facebook only
Stories: Facebook Stories do not support text
Synchronized posts: Posts published natively on Facebook and synchronized into Agorapulse cannot be edited, and the Edit button displays a tooltip explaining why
How links behave in an edited post
Facebook does not update a link attachment after a post is published. Review the following before editing links in your post:
Editing a link in the post text does not update the existing link attachment. The attachment still points to the original URL.
Adding a link to a text post does not create a link attachment.
If the original link is tracked and you add a new link during the edit, the post will contain two tracked links: the original link in the attachment, and the link added after publication.
