Agorapulse allows you to configure targeting options for posts on LinkedIn and Facebook. This ensures that your content will reach the right audience! The targeting options are different per social network and they will be outlined in this article. After configuring targeting options, only users who meet the selected criteria will be able to see the post after it is published.
Note: Targeting option are only available on LinkedIn and Facebook.
How to set up targeting options on LinkedIn
Targeting options for your post are configured in the Publishing Composer when creating or scheduling a post. More information on the Publishing Composer is available here.
After selecting LinkedIn from the profile selector:
1. Navigate to the LinkedIn options panel
2. Under this section, click on the Targeting icon
3. Choose targeting options in the pop-up by clicking on the relevant toggle*
4. Click Save targeting
* These are the targeting options available for LinkedIn:
Geographic Area
Language
Job Function
Seniority
Company Size
Industry
When a LinkedIn post with targeting options is published, only the page followers that match the selected criteria can see the post. You can select more than one target option per field on LinkedIn.
Please Note: If you do not have at least 300 followers that meet your selected targeting criteria, you will receive an error message when attempting to save your targeting options.

After selecting Facebook from the profile selector:
1. Navigate to the Facebook options panel
2. Under this section, click on the Targeting icon
3. Choose targeting options in the pop-up by clicking on the relevant toggle*
4. Click Save targeting
* These are the targeting options available for Facebook:
Age Minimum
Location (Country, City, Zip Code, Region)
When a Facebook post with targeting options is published, only the page followers that match the selected criteria can see the post. You can select more than one target location on Facebook.
