Agorapulse uses several time zones across its features to ensure that publishing, reporting, and notifications are accurate for your team and your audience. This article explains how time zones work per feature as outlined below:
What time zones are used in Agorapulse?
Agorapulse utilizes the following types of time zones:
Profile Time Zone – Can be configured in the Social profile settings
User Time Zone – Can be configured in the Personal Settings for each user
Browser Time Zone – Default time zone from the browser of the user
We will outline which time zone is utilized by each Agorapulse feature below.
Publishing Time Zone
All scheduled and queued content uses the Profile Time Zone when adding a scheduled publishing date and time to a post. This ensures that publishing times are consistent across all users, regardless of where each team member is located.
For example, if a post is scheduled for 7 PM in a profile set to Paris time (GMT+1), all users will see it scheduled for that same time, even if they are based in New York or Tokyo.
To view or change the Profile Time Zone for Publishing:
Click on your avatar
Select Organization Settings
Expand the Social profiles section
Select the relevant profile
Open the General tab under the Publishing heading
Choose a time zone from the drop-down
Once set, this time zone applies to all publishing activity for that profile moving forward.
Please Note: Users who have Admin permissions on a profile (including Owners and Managers) may configure a social profile time zone.
Publishing Calendar Time Zone
The Publishing Calendar displays post times using the Browser Time Zone by default. This lets you preview exactly when content will go live in your local time.
To change the time zone in the Publishing Calendar:
Open the Publishing Calendar
Click the time zone drop-down next to the month at the top of the Publishing Calendar
Select a different time zone from the drop-down
Changing the Publishing Calendar time zone will not change when content is published. It only affects how post times are displayed in the calendar. If you leave the Publishing Calendar and return later, times will be shown in your browser’s time zone.
Inbox and Advanced Listening Time Zone
In both the Inbox and Advanced Listening features, timestamps reflect the Browser Time Zone. No further customization is available or required in these areas.
Reports Time Zone
Reports default to the Browser Time Zone. However, each profile also includes a configurable Profile Time Zone specifically for Reports, which applies to all users viewing that profile’s data.
To view or change the Profile Time Zone for Reports:
Click on your avatar
Select Organization Settings
Expand the Social profiles section
Select the relevant profile
Open the General tab under the Reports heading
Choose Select a desired timezone and choose a time zone from the drop-down
Click Save
Email and Notifications Time Zone
Daily and weekly email digests and mobile push notifications are sent based on the User Time Zone.
This is configured in your Personal Settings by following these steps:
Click on your avatar
Select Personal Settings
Select the General tab
Update your Time zone as needed
Click Save
