Instagram Content metrics - Posts performance
Updated over a month ago

In the Instagram Posts - Performance section, you'll see an overall summary of your posts' performance. The report will display posts that were published in the selected time period. We display data on:

  • Reach: number of unique Instagram accounts that have seen the post

  • Impressions: total number of views on the post

  • Comments: number of comments on the post

  • Likes: number of unique Instagram accounts that liked the post

  • Saves: number of unique Instagram accounts that have saved the post

  • Shares: number of shares of your post

  • Engagement: number of likes, comments, saves and shares on the post

  • Plays: number of times the reels start to play after an impression is already counted. This is defined as video sessions with 1 ms or more of playback and excludes replay

  • Replays: number of times the video was replayed

  • Total Plays: the sum of plays and replays

  • Average Watch Time: the average watch time of your post per viewer

  • Engagement rate per impression: total engagement divided by total impressions

  • Engagement rate per reach: total engagement divided by total reach

You can sort posts according to the chosen metric - just click on the column title to sort posts according to reach, engagement, etc. By default, posts are sorted chronologically.

We calculate the average for each metric —it's the arithmetic average of the values for each listed post.

You can export this content report into a .CSV file by clicking on the orange Export button on the top right.

The Posts performance report will also include data in relation to Reels posts.

Note: Engagement metrics and likes can differ from what you see on Instagram directly for promoted posts. The reason is that we're able to sync organic engagement/likes only - paid engagement is not calculated. Because of this, you might see higher numbers on Instagram directly.
