In the Audience growth section, you can see how many LinkedIn users are following you, as well as how many new followers you have gained during the selected time period. This number can be positive (if total number of your followers rose) or negative (if total number of followers declined). We display new organic as well as new paid followers (followers acquired through Ads or Sponsored content).
There are two available graphs you can switch between - the one showing variation of follower count, i.e. new followers or lost followers, and the second one showing total number of followers over time.
Note: Regarding audience metrics, LinkedIn API provides us with data with a 2 day delay - this applies both on total number of followers as well as new followers. Also, if you lose your access token for your LinkedIn Page, there might be gaps in the followers graph and it's technically not possible to catch up this missing data retroactively.
