Why isn't my Google Analytics account showing up in Agorapulse?

What to do if your Google Analytics account isn't showing up in Agorapulse

The Social Media ROI feature allows you to measure how specific posts, conversations, and social profiles are helping you reach business goals like generating traffic, leads, or revenue. To get those unique insights, we combine Google Analytics insights with Agorapulse data. To retrieve these insights, you will need to have access to the relevant Google Analytics account and connect the account to Agorapulse. To get this access, a Google Analytics Administrator for the website(s) data you wish to access needs to grant those permissions to your Google Account. You can then use this Google Account to connect Google Analytics accounts inside Agorapulse.

In this article, we will cover:

Why can't I find the Google Analytics account I'm looking for inside Agorapulse?

If you can't find any Google Analytics account associated with the Google Account or Gmail address you selected, you might not have access rights to Google Analytics for that specific Google Account.

To check if you have the correct access, you will need to:

  1. Open the Google Analytics website: https://analytics.google.com

  2. At the top right-hand corner of Google Analytics, select the Google Account you used in Agorapulse
Note: After selecting your account, if you see the Welcome to Google Analytics screen, this means the Google Account you selected does not have access to any Google Analytics accounts.

  3. Click on the drop-down next to the Google Analytics logo to show the list of Analytics Accounts that you have access to

  4. After clicking on the relevant Analytics account, you will see all the properties you have been given access to under Properties & Apps.

Under Properties & Apps, if you don't see any properties, or the property you're looking for isn't listed, this means that you will not have the necessary permissions to add the specific Google Analytics property to Agorapulse.

What can I do if I don't have access to the necessary property?

If you don't have access to the relevant property, you have two options:

  • You'll need to contact the Google Analytics admin for that property so they can grant you access. Any access rights level, starting with Viewer and up to

Administrator, will allow you to connect a Google Analytics account to Agorapulse

  • Alternatively, if you have a colleague with the necessary access rights, you can also invite them inside Agorapulse: they will be able to add the Google Analytics account property. Once it's done, you'll be able to access it from Agorapulse, even if you don't have the rights to access that specific view inside Google Analytics.
