Adding and removing competitors
Updated over a week ago

Please note that adding or removing a new competitor is only available to the organization Owner. Managers and Members of the organization who have an Admin or Editor role on the Facebook Page have the ability to enable or disable competitors that have been previously added by the owner.

Adding a competitor

  • Begin in the Reports > Competitors section - to add a new competitor, click on the + Add a competitor button

  • Then copy & paste the URL of a Facebook Page you'd like to add and click Add

Once done, click on the Manage competitors button - here you'll have the option to enable/disable:

  • Any of your own Pages (already installed in Agorapulse)

  • A few demo pages we've prepared for you

  • Any other Facebook page(s) of your own choice, which you've added in a previous step

Max competitors' limit reached

If you see the message Max competitors reached - To add more competitors, please edit your subscription, it means there are no more free competitor slots and you need to purchase more slots (or remove some of the current competitors to free up slots).

I can't add a specific competitor

Are you trying to add a new competitor page but get an error message?

We retrieve competitors' data from Facebook's public API. This is the only feasible method, but it does have some limitations. For example, pages restricted to specific countries or ages (such as alcohol brands, for example) will not be accessible via the API. You won't be able to add these pages, we're sorry.

You can also add a Competitor by using their Facebook Page ID. This can be found by going to the Facebook Page you want to add and then About > Page transparency.

All you need to do is copy the Page ID and paste it into the URL box when adding a competitor and then Add.

Removing a competitor

To remove a competitor, please click on the Manage competitors button and then click on the Remove button next to the competitor you'd like to remove.
