HubSpot and Salesforce within Agorapulse

With the integration of HubSpot and Salesforce within Agorapulse, you can qualify conversations with CRM data, such as lead status or contact email and also demonstrate the ROI of your community management activities through lead generation numbers.


How to get started

To get started and connect with HubSpot and/or Salesforce to Agorapulse, you need to head over to Organization settings > Integrations.

Note: Only the Owner or users with a Manager role in Agorapulse can connect HubSpot or Salesforce to Agorapulse.

Below you will find indivudal sections on HubSpot and Salesforce which will explain the requirements needed on these tools and what actions can be done within Agorapulse.


HubSpot

This section will explain how you can connect HubSpot to Agorapulse, what requirements are needed and what actions you can take once it is connected.

Requirements

  • An Admin role is required on HubSpot.

Connecting HubSpot to Agorapulse

To connect your HubSpot account to Agorapulse follow the steps below:

  1. Head on over to Organization settings > Integrations.

  2. Click on the Connect button under HubSpot.

  3. Now click on the Authorize Hubspot button.

    1. This will open up the connection window, if you are logged in to HubSpot all you need to do is choose the account you wish to connect. If you do not have an account, you will be given the option to create an account.

    2. Ensure you agree and accept everything.

    3. Click the Connect app button.

Your HubSpot account will now be connected to Agorapulse.

Using HubSpot within Agorapulse

If you have connected your HubSpot account to Agorapulse, you will see the HubSpot integration when viewing items within your inbox on the right-hand panel.

You are given 2 options:

  1. Link to contact

  2. Create new contact

Link to contact

If you already have the contact created in HubSpot, you can use this option to link the inbox item directly to them. A window will appear that will allow you to search for the contact by either using:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

Create new contact

If you'd like to create a new contact, this can be used directly within Agorapulse. All you need to do is click on the Create new contact button. This will open a new window which will allow you to create a new contact and link the inbox item to them.

How to unlink a contact

Made a mistake and linked an inbox item to the wrong contact? Not to worry, you can easily unlink a contact by using the Unlink contact button:


Salesforce

This section will explain how you can connect Salesforce to Agorapulse, what requirements are needed and what actions you can take once it is connected.

Requirements

  • An Admin role is required on Salesforce.

  • Your Salesforce organization must be at least the Enterprise edition. If you have the Professional Edition, you must purchase the API Access add-on through Salesforce.

Connecting Salesforce to Agorapulse

To connect your Salesforce account to Agorapulse follow the steps below:

  1. Head on over to Organization settings > Integrations.

  2. Click on the Connect button under Salesforce.

  3. Now click on the Authorize Salesforce button.

    1. This will open up the connection window, if you are logged in to HubSpot all you need to do is choose Allow. If you do not have an account, you will be given the option to create an account.

    2. For Environment, you can either select Production or Sandbox.*

    3. Click the Save button.

*Note: You need to make sure you have access to the environment you select otherwise you will lack the permissions needed and will receive an error.

Your Salesforce account will now be connected to Agorapulse.

Using Salesforce within Agorapulse

If you have connected your Salesforce account to Agorapulse, you will see the Salesforce integration when viewing items within your inbox on the right-hand panel.

You are given 2 options:

  1. Link to lead/contact

  2. Create new lead

  3. Create new contact

Link to a lead/contact

If you already have the lead/contact created in Sales, you can use this option to link the inbox item directly to them. A window will appear that will allow you to search for the contact by either using:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

Create new contact

If you'd like to create a new contact, you can do this directly within Agorapulse. All you need to do is click on the Create new contact button. This will open a new window allowing you to create a new contact and link the inbox item to them.

Create new lead

If you need to create a new lead, this can also be done directly within Agorapulse. All you need to do is click on the Create new lead button. This will open a new window allowing you to create a new lead.

How to unlink a contact
