In order to sync ad comments and boost Facebook posts through Agorapulse, you need to connect an ad account. In this article we will outline how to connect an ad account and the relevant permissions required to do so. You can connect ad accounts for the following social networks:
Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
LinkedIn
TikTok

How to connect an ad account
You can connect an ad account from the Connect landing page (the same place where you can add a social profile). To access this page:
Click on the (+) icon
Select Add a social profile
Select the social network under the Ad accounts menu
Authorize ad-related permission for Agorapulse
You will have to log in to the relevant social network if it is not already openIn the Select ad accounts to connect pop-up click Connect next to the ad account you would like to add (you can connect multiple)
Select Done connecting profiles
Note: Only users with organization Owner and Manager level permissions can connect an ad account to Agorapulse. Users with Member permissions may add an ad account if they have been given the permission to Manage social profiles.

What native permissions are required to connect an ad account?
The permissions required to connect an ad account vary depending on the social network:
Meta - An Advertiser or Admin role on the ad account in Ads Manager or Partial/Full Access with Manage Campaign permission
LinkedIn - Any role other than Viewer in Campaign Manager
TikTok - Admin role in Business Center
How to renew an ad account token
Once an ad account has been connected, an ad account token will be generated. This token allows for ad account information to be exchanged through the API.
How long are ad account tokens valid?
Ad account tokens have different validity periods, dependent on the relevant social network:
Meta (Instagram and Facebook) - No expiration date
LinkedIn - 1 year
TikTok - No expiration date
How to renew an ad account token
Click on the avatar icon on the bottom left of the screen
Select Organization settings
Choose the Ad accounts sub-menu
Click Try renewing all for a specific social network
or
Click the Renew icon next to the specific ad account
Each ad account token will have one of the following statuses:
Expired includes all invalid ad account tokens
Expiring within 7 days includes all tokens that will expire within 7 days
Valid includes all valid tokens more than 7 days from expiry
No expiration date
How to manage connected ad accounts
There are two places where you can view and remove connected ad accounts: the Connect landing page and the Ad account settings.
How to remove an ad account in the Connect settings
Navigate to the Connect landing page
Click on the Ad accounts sub-menu on the top right
Press the X icon next to the ad account you want to remove
Select Yes, Confirm in the pop-up
How to remove an ad account in the Ad account settings
Click on the avatar icon on the bottom left of the screen
Select Organization settings
Choose the Ad accounts sub-menu
Press the (...) option next to the ad account you want to remove
Click Remove ad account
Select Yes, Confirm in the pop-up
Connect a new ad account by pressing +Connect ad account. You will be re-directed to the Connect landing page.
