Agorapulse's Inbox lets you manage messages and interactions efficiently through a variety of different navigation options. In this article, we will outline how to search, filter, and sort in the Inbox to quickly find and prioritize important conversations.

How to change the Inbox view

The Inbox view can be customized to provide easy access to Inbox items that need to be actioned. The following views can also be combined with any chosen filters:

  • Items to review

  • Assigned to Me

  • Direct Messages

  • Items reviewed

  • All items

To change the Inbox view, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Inbox view drop-down
    This will have the name of the current view that is applied

  2. Select a view from the drop-down



How to view comments by post in the Inbox

The Profile posts view in the Inbox allows you to view comments organized by their parent post or ad. In order to change to the Profile posts view:

  1. Click on the Profile posts tab on the top of the screen

In the Profile posts view you can filter posts by type, including:

  • Ads posts

  • Organic posts

  • Feed posts (Instagram only)

  • Reel posts (Instagram only)

Once you click on a post, comments will be visible for the post in question. You may select Previous comments in order to load additional comments on the post.

How to search for items in the Inbox

Please Note: Inbox search is available for users on Standard, Professional, Advanced and Tailored plans. If you would like to change your plan to access this feature, feel free to reach out to us here. User search for X is only available with our X Plus add-on.

Inbox search can be utilized to identify specific keywords, phrases and users. To search in the Inbox, follow these instructions:

  1. Click the magnifying (Search) icon

  2. Enter the search criteria

  3. The list of Inbox items matching the criteria will appear
    If filters have been applied to the Inbox, only results within the filtering parameters will appear

Please note the following limitations of searching in the Inbox:

  • Inbox search results do not include results posted from the page/profile owner

  • Special characters (including @) are not searchable

  • Inbox labels are not searchable

  • LinkedIn usernames are not searchable

  • It is not possible to search for usernames that contacted you before October 2023



How to filter items in the Inbox

User-specific filters can be applied to Agorapulse's Inbox in order to efficiently manage and organize Inbox items. Filtering options for the Inbox include:

  • Reviewed by

  • Item type

  • Assigned to

  • Item date

  • Label

  • Sentiment (Tailored plans only)

  • Hidden by

  • Removed by

To apply filters in the Inbox, follow these steps below:

  1. Click on the Filters icon
    If the desired filter is visible skip to Step 4

  2. If the desired filtering option is not visible, select +Add filters

  3. Select one or more additional filters from the drop down
    There is no limit to the amount of filters that may be applied at one time and filters can be removed by de-selecting them in the drop down

  4. Apply filtering criteria in the drop-down of each applicable filter

  5. The list of Inbox items matching the filtering criteria will appear

You can minimize the filtering menu by clicking on the Filters icon.

How to remove all filters in the Inbox

  1. Click on the Filters icon

  2. Select the Reset filters option

Please Note: Filtering options will not be saved as you navigate between Inbox views.


How to sort items in the Inbox

You can sort Inbox items in order of the date they were received (Newest > Oldest and Oldest > Newest). To adjust the sorting settings in the Inbox:

  1. Click the arrow (Sort) icon

The Inbox will default to showing newest items first.
