Customize your Inbox with custom inboxes

Custom inboxes allow you to combine multiple social profiles into one unified inbox. This helps you and your team manage conversations across different networks from a single view. Custom inboxes are especially useful for brands or agencies handling several profiles, campaigns, or topics that require specific attention.

What is a custom inbox?

Custom inboxes let you group selected social profiles into one shared inbox. It allows you to review, respond to, and organize incoming messages from multiple profiles at once. Social profiles can also appear in more than one custom inbox.

Each custom inbox functions like an individual inbox in Agorapulse. You can create different custom inboxes to:

  • Use Inbox Filters for custom inboxes to narrow results

  • Create and manage Filter Presets the same way as your individual inboxes to save specific sets of filters

  • All actions (assign, label, review) apply the same way as in a single-profile inbox.

  • Combine networks (for example, Facebook + Instagram)

  • Group specific brands, products, or markets under one view


Who can create and access custom inboxes

Owners, Co-Owners, Managers, and Members, with at least a Moderator role for one or more social profiles, can create Custom Inboxes.

Team members with access to the profiles included in a custom inbox will be able to see all synced inbox items. However, users without permission for certain profiles will not see messages from those profiles, but they may still see the total item count, which will include items they do not have access to.

Please Note: If a connected profile has a lost token, it can still be added to a Custom Inbox, but messages from that profile will not sync until the token is renewed.



How to create a custom inbox

Custom inboxes can be created from your Organization Settings or directly inside the inbox. To create a custom inbox from the Organization Settings:

  1. Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner of your screen

  2. Select Organization settings

  3. Click the Custom inboxes sub-menu

  4. Click Create custom inbox

  5. Add a name for your custom inbox

  6. Select all of the social profiles that you would like to include

  7. At the bottom right of the page, click Save



How to manage custom inboxes

Custom inboxes can be rearranged, edited, and deleted from your Organization Settings. Instructions for each process are listed below.

How to rearrange custom inboxes

You can choose what order custom inboxes appear in the left-hand menu. To rearrange Custom Inboxes:

  1. Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner of your screen

  2. Select Organization settings

  3. Click the Custom inboxes sub-menu

  4. Click the Up or Down arrows to change the order of your Custom Inboxes.

How to edit a custom inbox

To edit a custom inbox:

  1. Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner of your screen

  2. Select Organization settings

  3. Click the Custom inboxes sub-menu

  4. Select the Custom Inbox that you'd like to edit

  5. Adjust the Custom inbox name or the Social profiles included

  6. Click Save

How to delete a custom inbox

To delete a custom inbox:

  1. Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner of your screen

  2. Select Organization settings

  3. Click the Custom inboxes sub-menu

  4. Select the Custom Inbox that you'd like to delete

  5. Click Delete inbox at the bottom of the screen

  6. In the pop-up, click Delete custom inbox to confirm
