Importance of using single, real Facebook account to authenticate in Agorapulse

Updated over a year ago

When authenticating with Facebook in Agorapulse (e.g. when logging into the platform or when adding a Facebook Page, etc.), it's important to use your own, real Facebook account.

Following example scenarios are not recommended practice:

  • logging in as each of your clients or teammates, instead of having a role on the Facebook Page itself

  • using shared Facebook account among several people in the team

  • using fake Facebook accounts instead of real ones

To highlight the importance of using single, real Facebook account, below are just some of the issues that could arise:

  • inability to add a Facebook Page or Instagram account

  • inability to properly connect or refresh Facebook/Instagram tokens

  • Facebook/Instagram tokens being invalidated frequently and repeatedly

  • tokens drops for part of the social profiles, when user is (re)connecting with another Facebook account

  • inability to publish on Facebook Page or reply to Page's messages, due to lock-out imposed by Facebook

Long story short, always use your own, real Facebook account, when authenticating in Agorapulse.
