Publishing options panels explained

The Publishing Composer shows publishing options for specific social networks you've chosen to publish on. This panel will appear when you've selected the social network and begun to add content.

From the navigation panel on the right, please select which network you would like to view the publishing options for.

Here is a video tutorial on the First Comments feature, which is available for some social networks (also explained in the text below).

Note: If a post is customised for a network, then the publishing options for that network must be added in the preview pane and not the middle pane. More information on customized posts can be found here.

Publishing options for Instagram

There are 5 options for Instagram posts:

  • Post type - You can select to publish either a Post (for your feed), a Reel, or a Story. Selecting a Story will automatically disable the Tag Instagram accounts and First comment options.

  • Publish via Mobile notification - selecting this option allows you to publish your Post to your feed, a Reel, or a Story via mobile notification. You will be able to select the team member to receive the notification.

  • First comment - this allows you to schedule the first comment to be published with your post. Limits are 2,200 characters and 30 hashtags max - note that the hashtag count includes both hashtags in the post AND in the first comment.

  • Show link in post - if you add a link to your post, you can choose to display the link in the caption or not. Simply toggle this option on, or off.

  • Tag Instagram accounts - this option allows you to add tags for other Instagram accounts to the image in your post.

Publishing Options for Facebook

  • Album - this option allows you to save the image added to the post, to an existing album on the Facebook page (this will only show when you upload an image).

  • Video title - this option allows you to improve your video with a custom title (this will only show when you upload a video).

  • First comment - this option allows you to schedule the first comment to be published with your Facebook post.

Publishing Options for Twitter

  • Twitter card - this option allows you to choose whether to post a link as a Twitter card, or as an image with the link in the caption text. Simply toggle this option on, or off.

  • Twitter thread - this option allows you to create a Twitter thread to be scheduled. Read more about how to publish a Twitter thread in this article

Publishing Options for LinkedIn

  • First comment - this option allows you to schedule the first comment to be published with your LinkedIn post.

Publishing Options for Google Business

There are 3 options for Google Business posts:

  • What's new - this option allows you to share an update post and add a button to the post. There must be a valid URL for the button.

  • Event - this option allows you to share the details of an event. An event title is required for this type of post. A button is optional, but if you choose to add a button there must be a valid URL for the button.

  • Offer - this option allows you to share an offer (or coupon) with your customers. A title is required for this type of post.

Publishing Options for Pinterest

There are 3 options for Pinterest posts:

  • Title - this option allows you to improve your post with a custom title

  • Destination Link - this option allows you to enter a URL which people will be redirected to when clicking on the pin

  • Board - this option allows you to select the board you want to publish your pin to
