A guide to scheduling content
Updated over a week ago

Publishing content, and the composer window, is mostly the same for all the social networks. Specific requirements/differences for each network are covered in separate articles in this section. This guide will introduce you to creating and scheduling posts for your social profiles.

We'll cover these topics:

  • How many posts can I schedule?

  • Can I select a group of social profiles to publish on?

  • How to schedule content for multiple dates at once

  • How to change the publishing date of a scheduled or drafted post

  • How to delete a scheduled posts

For a general overview of the publishing feature take a look at this tutorial.

How many posts can I schedule?

As long as you have a paid subscription plan, there is no limit to the number of posts you can publish or schedule. If you have a Free Plan you can schedule 10 posts at any one time.

Can I select a group of social profiles to publish on?

Yes, you can!

To publish content to multiple profiles at once:

  1. Open the publishing composer

  2. Check the profiles you want to publish on the left

To learn how to create and arrange profiles into folders like Alexas Shop Testing folder above, see our Help Center article.

If you need to tweak a single post in the group, you can customize a single post on the right side of the composer:

To learn more about customizing posts, see our Help Center article here.

How to schedule content for multiple dates at once

You can schedule your post to go out on multiple dates, in one go. In the composer window, click the Date & Time button open up the Scheduler. This will allow you to select dates you want your post to go out on.

In the Scheduler window, you can select the date you want the post to go out. You can choose to apply a date and time to all profiles, or select a different date and time for each profile. As the dates are selected, they will appear under the profile they will be applied to. You can schedule multiple dates for each profile by clicking on the Add date button.

The scheduler window will also show if other posts are scheduled on those profiles, so you can plan your content not to post too often.

This GIF shows how you can choose dates for your content:

Please note: Due to Twitter's Terms of Service it is not possible to schedule a post to a Twitter profile for more than 1 date. You can read more about that in this article.

How to change the publishing date of a scheduled or drafted post

If you want to change a scheduling date you have already applied, there are a couple of ways to to do this for a post.

Firstly, you can select & hold the post you want to modify and drag it to the place in the Calendar where you want it to be published.

Note: Even if there are posts linked to that post, dragging and dropping a date will only change the time for that post.

You can also change the date by re-opening the post and heading into the Scheduler.

In the following GIF, you can see how easy it is to change the time and date of a

scheduled post, as well as add a date.

How to delete a scheduled post

Agorapulse allows you to delete a scheduled post in 2 ways.

Firstly, from the calendar view. Go to Publishing and in the calendar view select the post you want to delete. Then click on it and in the Edit view, click the Delete button. You will be asked to confirm your action since it's irreversible.

Alternatively, go to Publishing and select the List view. Choose the filter Scheduled and scroll to find the post you want to delete. Click on the 3-dots menu and you can either select to Delete this post, or Delete this group of posts. You will be asked to confirm your action since it's irreversible.
