How to create a public URL for images/videos

Bulk upload videos and images from Dropbox & Google Drive

Updated yesterday

When you are using the Bulk Import tool to import posts or queued posts, you have the option to add your image or video to the CSV file. However, to add images or videos, you will need to make sure that you use a public URL.

Below you can find the steps on how to do this for:

Hosted webpage

If you are already hosting a web page, you can simply add your images there and create your public URLs from the host.

Dropbox

  1. Upload your image or video to your Dropbox account.

  2. Once your image or video has been uploaded, select it, then click the 3-dot button.

  3. Now go to Share and then click Share with Dropbox

  4. Next, a window will appear, click Copy link.

With the copied link, open a new tab or a notepad and paste the copied link there. At the end of your link, you should see the parameter dl=0. After this parameter, you need to make sure to add the parameter &raw=1 at the end of the link. With this added, you can now add this public URL to your CSV file.

  4. Under General Access, select Anyone with a link

  5. Use the Copy link button

With the copied link, open a new tab or a notepad and paste the copied link there. The link will include the file ID. The characters and symbols in bold below are your file ID.

Once you have your file ID, you will need to:

  1. Copy and paste the file ID in the URL, http://drive.google.com/uc?id=PASTEYOURIDHERE

  2. Paste this link into your CSV file under either video_url or image_url

When you upload the CSV file with our Bulk Upload, you should find that your image(s) or video(s) show on your post.
