Filtering inbox items

Learn how to efficiently use filters to locate specific items in your inboxes.

In the Agorapulse Inbox you can filter the view so that you can focus on specific types of items. Whether you want to handle all comments first, or check on your direct messages, you can use the Inbox filters to focus where you need.


Inbox views

By default, the Inbox view will show Items to Review. You may also select Assigned (to view items currently assigned to you) or All (to view all items regardless of review status).

To filter items in further detail, you can also:

  • Search - click the magnifying icon to search the inbox by keywords. Read more about this feature here

  • Calendar - click this calendar icon to filter the inbox view by specific dates

  • Filters - click the filter icon to filter the inbox view by specific types of items

Note: Inbox search by keyword is available depending on the subscription plan you have.


How to apply specific filters

Click the Filters button to find specific filtering criteria. You will find the option to filter by Assignee, Label, Sentiment, Hidden By and Removed By.

There are slightly different options depending on if you open the Filters menu while in the Items to Review or Items Reviewed view. All available filtering options are explained below.

Item type filter

The Item type drop down menu allows you to filter by the item types available on the social profile you're viewing.

For example, on a Facebook page the options will be:

  • Ads Comments

  • Organic comments

  • Private Messages

  • Posts

  • Reviews

But on Instagram, the options will be:

  • Ads Comments

  • Organic comments

  • Private Messages

  • Reel comments

Assigned to filter

Within the filter function, filtering by Assigned to allows you to view items that are assigned to a specific team member, including yourself.

Simply choose Assigned To from the filtering options, and select or search for the relevant team members name. The inbox view will change to the Assigned view and only show you the items that are assigned to that team member.

Label filter

The Label filter allows you to see only items that have a specific label applied.

Simply click the drop down arrow and select the name of the label. The inbox view will change to show you only the items that have that label applied. You can configure your labels by following the instructions in this article.

Sentiment filter

The Sentiment filter allows you to see items that match a specific sentiment; either Positive, Neutral or Negative.

Simply select Sentiment from the filtering options, click the drop down arrow and select the sentiment. The inbox view will change to show you only the items that match that sentiment.

Note: The filter by Sentiment option is available depending on the subscription plan you have. If you would like to change your plan to access this feature, feel free to reach out to us here.

Hidden by/Removed by filter

The filters for Hidden by and Removed by allow you to filter based on which team member took the action hide, remove or review.

Simply select your desired filtering option and choose the team member whose actions you want to see. The inbox view will change to show you only the items that match action taken by that team member.

Note: To select the Reviewed by option, you must switch the Inbox view to Items Reviewed, instead of Items to Review. Refer back to this section.
