Workaround: Instagram Stories with Link Stickers
Workaround: Instagram Stories with Link Stickers

Describes the workaround for scheduling Instagram story posts with link stickers, using the mobile notification system.

Updated over a week ago

Agorapulse allows for publishing Instagram Story posts directly from our tool. However, if you want to add text effects or stickers to your Story posts, this is not available.

Now, Agorapulse offers a workaround for Story posts with Link Stickers. This workaround uses our Mobile notification system. You will need to install the Agorapulse Mobile App on your device and ensure that notifications are enabled.

Please note:

  • This workaround only supports adding Link Stickers to your Story post. It does not allow for adding other types of stickers to your post.

  • Link tracking for the link sticker is not available

  • This workaround is only for Instagram Stories; it does not apply to Facebook or TikTok Story posts.

Create your Story Post

Open the Publishing Composer to create your post. Create the Story post as you usually would ensuring to toggle on the Publish via Mobile notification option.

Read our complete article on how to publish a story post here.

When you select the mobile notification option you will see a text box to add the full link for your link sticker.

The link will be copied to the clipboard on your mobile device when you publish the post.

Complete the post as normal by setting a scheduled date & time for publishing the post.

Publish the post from Mobile notification

You will receive a notification to complete your story post at the scheduled time. As you follow the steps, the app will confirm that your image has been copied to your gallery and that your link text has been copied to your clipboard.

Read our complete article on our mobile notification system here.

Then Instagram will open natively and you can complete the Story post.

To add your link sticker, click the Sticker option at the top of the screen, and select Link.

You can paste your link into the text box shown (directly from your clipboard) and the link sticker will appear on your post.
