Add subtitles to increase engagement and visibility on video posts!

Updated today

Adding subtitles or captions to your videos is a great way to boost accessibility and engagement—especially on platforms where videos autoplay without sound.

You can upload subtitle files directly in Agorapulse when creating a video post.

Subtitles are supported on Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter) and must be uploaded in .srt format.

Please Note: Video subtitles are available to users on the following subscription plans : Professional, Advanced, Custom. To upgrade your plan and access this feature, contact us here.

How to add subtitles to a video

To add subtitles to a video post in the Publishing Composer:

  1. Select a Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn or X (Twitter) profile in the profile selector

  2. Upload a video in the Media section
Drag and drop or click Browse files

  3. Once the video is uploaded, click the three dot icon (...) on the top right of the thumbnail

  4. Click Add subtitles

  5. Upload the .srt file in the pop-up (drag and drop or click Browse files)

  6. Choose a language in the Subtitle language drop-down
Repeat the upload process to add subtitles in multiple languages

  7. Click Save subtitles once all subtitles have been added

Please Note: Only one .srt file can be uploaded per LinkedIn video. All other supported networks have no limit.

Agorapulse will attach the subtitles to your video, making them visible to viewers when the video is played. On Facebook, subtitles are shown based on the viewer’s default language settings.
