How to get started with Archie

Learn how to begin using Archie

Archie is Agorapulse's AI-powered content creation studio that can be used from your Agorapulse subscription or as a standalone feature.

To begin creating content with Archie, you will first need to create a Playbook. When creating a Playbook, Archie analyzes your website and connected social profiles to learn your brand's tone of voice and adapts each generated post to the format and style of the target network.

How to access Archie as an Agorapulse user

If you already have an Agorapulse account, Archie is built on the same infrastructure and does not require a separate sign-up.

To access Archie from within Agorapulse:

  1. Log in to your Agorapulse account.

  2. Click Archie in the left navigation menu.

How to access Archie as a standalone user

Archie is also available as a standalone product at archie.app, independent of an Agorapulse account.

To create an Archie account:

  1. Go to archie.app and click Sign up

  2. Enter your email and click Continue

  3. Check your email for a 6-character verification code, enter it to confirm your identity, and then click Continue

  4. Enter a password and click Continue
    ​Note: A password must be at least 8 characters and must contain at least 1 uppercase and 1 lowercase character, and 1 number.

  5. Enter your first and last name, then click Continue

  6. Enter your Company name and click Continue

  7. You will then automatically be logged in and you will need to connect at least 1 social profile (Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn) to continue.

Connecting your social profiles (standalone users)

After signing up, Archie will prompt you to connect your social profiles (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn). For information on how to connect a social profile, please check out our article here.

Connecting your profiles allows Archie to:

  • Analyze your existing posts to learn your brand's tone of voice.

  • Adapt each generated post to the connected profile's format and style.

  • Publish or schedule content directly from Archie.

Please note: Connecting social profiles is optional at this stage. You may click Skip for now and connect your profiles later. However, connected profiles produce the most accurate, on-brand results.

What is a Playbook

Before Archie can generate content, it needs to understand your brand. This configuration is called your Playbook. A Playbook is made up of three components:

  • Audience and Goals

  • Voice and Style

  • Brand Theme.

Audience and Goals

This tells Archie what you want to achieve with your content. During Playbook setup, you will be asked to provide:

  • Goal: The outcome you are aiming for (e.g., build thought leadership, drive website traffic, grow your audience).

  • Primary audience: A description of who you are speaking to.

  • CTA links: The URL or URLs you want to drive people toward.

Voice and Style

This tells Archie how your brand communicates. Your tone of voice influences:

  • The vocabulary and overall tone of all generated posts.

  • The formality level (casual versus professional).

  • The structural style (storytelling, bullet points, bold hooks, etc.).

  • The personality of the content (analytical, motivational, direct, etc.).

There are three ways to define your tone of voice for Archie:

  • Allow Archie to analyze your existing posts from a connected social profile.

  • Describe your brand voice manually in the text field.

  • Upload a document that contains examples of your content.

Brand theme

When you provide your website URL, Archie automatically extracts your visual identity for use in AI-generated images. This includes:

  • Brand colors

  • Logo

  • Font style

These elements are applied to all AI-generated visuals to keep your content on-brand without any manual design work.

Generating your Playbook

To generate your first Playbook, you will need to provide:

  • Your website URL

  • (Optional) One connected social profile for tone of voice analysis

Note: Archie will pre-fill all the sections below from your website. Green pills are Archie's suggestions and can be edited for additional refinement.

To create a Playbook:

  1. Click on Archie in the left navigation menu

  2. Select Playbooks

  3. Click Create your first Playbook
    ​Note: If a Playbook has already been created, click Create a Playbook

  4. Enter your website URL when prompted.

  5. (Optional) Under How should I learn your voice, you can choose from the following options:

    • Analyze a connected profile: Select a social profile (Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn) and Archie will analyze your profile's recent posts.

    • Upload a document you wrote: Upload a PDF, Word, or text document for Archie to learn your voice

    • Write or paste your voice: Archie will use your exact words as written

    • Click Skip

  6. Archie will then generate your Playbook, where you will be able to review the following sections:

    • Playbook name & language
      ​Note: Archie will write every post in the selected language. The supported languages are English, French, German, and Spanish

    • Audience and Goals

      • Business summary: Archie analyzes your website and generates a summary. This information can be edited in the text box

      • Primary audience: Archie will tailor post topics and framing to the selected audience; only one audience type can be selected from the drop-down. If your target audience isn't listed, you can add an audience by:

        • Selecting Other-define your own from the drop-down

        • Then define your audience in the text box

        • Click Add

      • Content style: Select the structure and format to guide Archie. Multiple styles can be selected, and additional content styles can be added in the text box below, and then click the Plus button (+)

      • Objective: Select multiple content angles for Archie to prioritize. Additional objectives can be added in the text box below, and then click the Plus button (+)

      • Content action: Archie will include relevant CTAs. Multiple CTAs can be selected, and additional CTAs can be added in the text box below, and then click the Plus button (+)

      • CTA Links: Archie will surface these links when a post calls for an action. Additional URLs can be added by clicking on Add another URL.

    • Voice and Style

      • Voice profile: Archie captures the following voice and style data from your connected profile's recent posts:

        • Signature Hooks

        • Closing Patterns

        • Formatting Style

        • Visual Style
          ​Note: At the bottom of Signature Hooks and Closing Patterns, you can click on the Plus (+) button to add additional items.

    • Brand

      • Visual identity: Archie picks these up from your website, so visuals stay on-brand.

        • Brand Colors: Clicking on the individual colors will allow you to edit them individually, or if you have the Hex color code, you can add it in the text box. You can also remove a color by clicking the X button

        • Typography

        • Brand Personality

  7. Refine any section as needed by clicking the Pencil icon above each section, and then clicking Save changes.

  8. Click Save playbook.

Please Note: The more complete your Playbook, the more accurate and on-brand your generated content will be. Take a few minutes to fill in each section carefully. Archie will reference your Playbook every time you create content.
