Connecting an Instagram profile to Agorapulse for the first time requires meeting several platform-specific requirements. This article outlines what is needed to successfully connect a profile for the first time and highlights common reasons why your Instagram account may not appear in the Connect settings.
Please Note: Owner or Manager permissions are required to connect a social profile to Agorapulse.
These steps may also help resolve issues when renewing an existing Instagram token.
Do you have an Instagram Professional account?
Agorapulse supports only Professional Instagram profiles, which include Business and Creator accounts. Personal Instagram profiles cannot be connected to Agorapulse or any other third-party publishing tool due to Instagram’s API limitations.

Have you linked your Instagram account to a Facebook Page?
Every Professional Instagram profile must be linked to a Facebook Page. This link enables Agorapulse to access the profile using Facebook’s API.
To link your profile using the Instagram mobile app:
Open the Instagram app and go to your profile
Tap Edit profile
Under Profile information (Creator) or Public business information (Business), click Connect
Tap Connect existing Page or create a new Page if needed
Tap Done when the correct Page is selected
If the Instagram profile is currently linked to the wrong Page, go to Edit profile, tap the current Page name, and choose a different Page or create a new one.
If you do not see any Facebook Pages to select, you may need to switch your Instagram profile to a personal profile and then back to Business or Creator. Instructions are available in this Instagram help article. Please note: you will lose your Instagram Insights when making this change.
Do you have the correct permissions on the linked Facebook Page?
You must have the correct Facebook Page role to connect an Instagram profile to Agorapulse. Your Facebook Page role is associated with your personal Facebook profile. Only accounts with Facebook Access (Full control or Partial control) can authorize Instagram connections in Agorapulse.
To verify your Page role:
Log in to facebook.com with your personal account
Go to the Facebook Page linked to your Instagram profile
Click Settings
Select New Page Experience
Click Page access

Have you granted Agorapulse the necessary permissions?
When prompted by Facebook during the profile connection process, do not click Choose what to allow to modify individual permissions. Doing so may prevent Agorapulse from accessing the profile correctly. You must accept all requested permissions when re-directed to Facebook.
I have checked all the steps above. Why can I still not connect my Instagram account?
If your Instagram profile is still not appearing after completing all of the steps above, please contact the the Support team. When submitting your request, include the following information to help us troubleshoot effectively:
The Instagram username
The name or URL of the linked Facebook Page
A screenshot showing your Page access role
A summary of the troubleshooting steps you have completed
