The TikTok Engagement section gives you an overview of how much engagement you've received across all your posts, during the selected time period. This is shown on a daily basis - hovering your mouse over the graph reveals the breakdown of the engagement for a given day. These results will combine both organic and paid engagement.
By engagement we mean:
Likes - total number of likes received on posts from the selected period
Comments - total number of (organic) comments received during the selected period
Shares - total number of times posts have been shared
Total engagement is the sum of the likes, comments and shares in the selected period.
Engagement rate
We show the evolution of the Engagement rate in the graph (day by day) - it's shown as a blue line overlaid on the chart. The engagement rate is also visible in the recap table - it's the engagement rate for the whole selected reporting period.
Note: We calculate the engagement rate ourselves. For TikTok, only Engagement by impressions is available. It's not possible to calculate the Engagement rate by reach at the profile level, as the Reach metric for the profile is not available via the API.
We can calculate Engagement rate by reach at the post level, as the Reach metric for posts is available via the API. If you would like to read more about Engagement rate by reach check out our article on TikTok Top Content Reports & TikTok Post Performance Reports.
