Agorapulse allows you to engage with your paid content right from your social media inbox if you have ad accounts connected. This article will outline specific details regarding syncing ad comments for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.

When you connect a new ad account, it may require some time to synchronize fully (roughly 1-2 hours).

After connecting your ad account, we can sync active ads up to a certain historical timeframe. We can retrieve data up to 32 days before the ad account was linked to the corresponding page or profile (for LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram).

Once an ad account is connected, we will sync active ads for the corresponding ad account. You can connect multiple ad accounts, as long as you have the proper permissions. You can confirm the permissions required for each social network here.

For Facebook and Instagram, we query the ads API every 1, 2 or 4 hours (depending on your plan) in order to retrieve ad comments from currently active (or "live") ads. Once we identify the ad creatives that are "live", we will confirm which of those posts are unpublished and have a post ID attached to them. With that post ID, we are able to sync the comments for each corresponding creative (ad post).

That process ensures a 99.9% success ratio, whereas other solutions barely get half of your comments back.

Depending on your plan, we will sync all comments on all "live" Instagram ads within the 32 days prior to connecting an ad account, with the following limits:

The limits for active ads are per profile. We sync last X active ads - it's not possible to choose which ads are going to be synced.

Once an ad has been synced, all comments made under it are synced on an hourly basis.

Depending on your plan, we will sync all new Facebook ads and all comments on all "live" ads within the 32 days prior to connecting an ad account, with the following limits:

The limits of active ads are per profile. We sync the last X active ads - it's not possible to choose which ads are going to be synced.

We sync LinkedIn ads every 15 minutes per profile.

After connecting your LinkedIn ad account, we can sync up to 32 days of historical ad comments. Moving forward, all comments from sponsored content (both ads and boosted posts) will be synced after the ad account is connected.

After being boosted, all subsequent comments on any type of sponsored post will be considered as ad comments. This applies even if a post is no longer sponsored.

We sync TikTok ads every 15 minutes per profile.

Once boosted, a TikTok video or post permanently becomes paid content. Any subsequent comments will then be considered TikTok ads comments and will be synced as such in the Inbox. Comments made before boosting will remain as Organic and will not be designated as ad comments.

You can select multiple ad accounts - after getting the ad token, we detect all ad accounts tied to the given token and you can choose 1 or more of them, by checking the toggle button.

Also, multiple team members can connect their ad tokens and select an additional ad account. This way, we'll be able to fetch comments under ads from different ad tokens and ad accounts. Each user can view other users’ ad settings, but not modify them unless they have an Admin role on a given ad account.

We also sync Facebook dynamic ad posts and dynamic creatives - you'll be able to see comments made under these two types of dynamic ads in your Agorapulse Inbox.

We'll only sync these once there is a comment on them.

We sync comments on dynamic ads up to 32 days old. This is a rolling 32-day period. Facebook API returns all dynamic ads with their original creation date - this can have implications in case you update the ad: in such case, we can't access the updated date, so such ad might be missing.

Due to technical reasons, we're not able to allow you to reply to comments under Instagram dynamic creatives - this is an API limitation. Reply directly on Instagram instead via the View on Instagram button.
