Learn how to create a custom report and aggregate data across multiple social profiles.

Custom Reports allow you to create customized insights across your social media portfolio, based upon metrics that are most important for your business. Custom Reports provide the ability to aggregate data across multiple social profiles in order to provide a holistic view of social media performance.

How to create a Custom Report

Custom Reports may be created in the Reports tool. There are six different types of Custom Reports available which are detailed in the section below.

Please Note: A user may create and edit a Custom Report if they have Admin/Editor permissions across all social profiles included in the report.

To create a Custom Report from the Reports tool:

  1. Click the Create a report icon on the top-left of the screen

  2. Choose the type of Custom Report

  3. Select profiles to add to the report and press Next

  4. Check the box next to any desired metrics and press Next

  5. (Optional) Define the timezone for the report

  6. (Optional) Upload a custom photo for the report

  7. (Required) Enter a Report name

  8. (Optional) Upload a logo to be added to any PDF exports

  9. (Optional) Enter the report author's name

  10. Click Create


What type of Custom Reports are available?

Agorapulse offers several types of Custom Reports, which can provide aggregated or individual insights. Each report allows you to include/exclude any available metrics. Not all metrics are available across each social network.

Aggregated report - by profile

Profile Limit: Between 2 and 6

The Aggregated report - by profile allows you to view and combine metrics across multiple social profiles and networks. This report will provide aggregated metrics for all included profiles. This custom report has been designed to view brand performance across all social channels.

Metrics Available:

  • Overview: Top-level overview of publishing and audience data

  • Audience insights: Audience growth, Impressions, Engagement, Engagement Rate, Label Distribution

  • Content summary: Publishing, Top content (based upon chosen metric)

  • Community management: Replies sent, Reviewed items

Aggregated report - by network

Profile Limit: 2+

The Aggregated report - by network allows you to view and combine metrics for profiles on the same social network. This report will provide aggregated figures on a per network basis. This custom report has been designed in order to monitor and compare channel performance.

Metrics Available:

  • Overview: Top-level overview of publishing and audience data

  • Audience insights: Audience growth, Impressions, Engagement, Engagement Rate, Label Distribution

  • Content summary: Publishing, Top content (based upon chosen metric)

  • Community management: Replies sent, Reviewed items

  • Details by profile/page: Performance related to each page/profile

Label report

Profile Limit: 1 profile and 1 label +


The Label report allows you to view publishing and performance data based upon publishing labels. In order to utilize this report, publishing labels must be created and added to posts. More information is available here. This custom report has been designed in order to track publishing performance related to customized labels.

Metrics Available:

  • Overview: Top-level overview of publishing and audience data

  • Publishing: Published content data

  • Reach: Unique viewers of social content

  • Impressions: Number of views

  • Engagement: Number of audience interactions

  • Top Content: Best performing content (based upon chosen metric)


Individual report

Profile Limit: Between 1 and 50

The Individual report provides a deep dive on audience and performance metrics on a per profile basis. These results will not be aggregated and will be shown per profile. This custom report has been designed in order to provide a comprehensive overview of profile specific performance.

Metrics Available:

  • Audience insights: Audience growth, Impressions, Engagement, Engagement Rate, User activity, Mentions, Video views, Inbox sentiment score, Inbox sentiment per day, Demographics, Label Distribution

  • Content summary: Publishing, Top content (based upon chosen metric), Best day and time to publish, Best type to publish, Best label to publish

  • Community management: Overview, Replies sent, Reviewed items, Team performance

  • Competitors: Includes competitor information from the Competitors Report

Aggregated and Individual report

Profile Limit: Between 2 and 50

The Aggregated and Individual report allows you to aggregate data by profile or network and additionally provides a deeper dive on profile specific performance. This report has been designed to provide a complete overview of individual and cumulative performance.

Metrics Available:

Choose how to aggregate data: By Network or Profile

  • Overview: Top-level overview of publishing and audience data

  • Audience insights: Audience growth, Impressions, Engagement, Engagement Rate, Label Distribution

  • Content summary: Publishing, Top content (based upon chosen metric)

  • Community management: Replies sent, Reviewed items

  • Details by profile/page: Performance related to each page/profile

Team Performance report

Profile Limit: 2+

The Team performance report allows you analyze team member efficiency and performance when managing conversations in Agorapulse's Inbox. This report allows for the aggregation of data across multiple social profiles. The report has been designed to track community management efforts across multiple social profiles.

Metrics Available:

  • Overview: Average of team member Inbox performance metrics

  • Community Management: Replies sent, Reviewed Items (per team member)


How to view and manage a Custom Report

Once a Custom Report has been created, it will appear under the Customized sub-heading in the Reports sidebar.

To view a Custom Report from the Reports tool:

  1. Expand the Customized sub-heading in the Reports sidebar

  2. Click on the desired Custom Report name

To edit a Custom Report:

  1. Open the relevant Custom Report

  2. Click on the Modify report option from the drop-down

  3. Choose the specifications of the report (available here)

  4. Press Save when complete

To delete a Custom Report:

  1. Open the relevant Custom Report

  2. Click on the Delete report option from the drop-down

  3. Select Yes, I'm sure to confirm deletion


How to export a Custom Report

To export a Custom Report from the Reports tool:

  1. Expand the Customized sub-heading in the Reports sidebar

  2. Click on the desired Custom Report name

  3. Click the Export icon on the top-right of the screen

The Custom Report will automatically be emailed to you in PDF format.

How to schedule automatic custom report exports by email

Custom Report automatic exports are configured in the Custom Report creation process (see here). To enable automatic Custom Report exports while creating a Custom Report in the Settings tab:

  1. Toggle on Automatic scheduled reports

  2. Select the reporting frequency (Weekly or Monthly)

  3. Select who should receive the report (internal)

  4. Select who should receive the report (external)

  5. Configure the language

  6. Configure the timezone

  7. Configure the date and time format

  8. Select what day of the week the report should start on (Sunday or Monday)

Once you have entered these options, you may finalize the report creation process. The report will automatically schedule.

If the report has already been created, you may edit a Custom Report to update the automatic export settings.
