How to export Agorapulse reports

Learn how to export insights from Agorapulse reports!

Agorapulse provides flexible export options for reports that allow you to generate detailed insights for your social media profiles. Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube reports can be exported.

Please note: Users with Owner, Co-owner, and Manager roles can export and schedule reports by default. Advanced Members and Members require Admin or Editor access to export or schedule reports.



How to export Agorapulse reports

After selecting a social profile from the left-hand navigation menu under Social profiles, there are 3 export options to choose from. Each report export has the ability to be filtered. The filtering criteria and availability for each report section are available here.

​We have detailed each export below:

  • PDF live preview - A PDF export that allows you to customize the insights that are included from all sections of the Audience Report, Posts Insights Report, and Community Management Report. When selected, a new window will open, allowing you to customize your report and preview the changes in real time.

  • Send PDF - A PDF export that includes visuals and insights from all sections of the Audience Report, Posts Insights Report, and Community Management Report. This report cannot be customized and, when selected, will automatically be exported to the email address associated with your Agorapulse account.

  • Other export options - This option will open a pop-up and let you select from the following CSV and PowerPoint exports:

    • CSV Global Data - A CSV export including metrics for content published during the selected reporting period

    • CSV Content Performance Data - A CSV export including metrics from the Posts Performance Report for all posts published during the selected reporting period

    • PowerPoint Global Data - A PowerPoint export including visuals and insights from all sections of the Audience Report, Posts Insights Report, and Community Management Report. This export is not customizable.

Please note: PowerPoint report exports (included in the Power Reports feature) are available for users on an Advanced or Custom plan. If you would like to change your plan to access this feature, feel free to reach out to us here.

To export a report, please follow the steps below:

  1. Choose a social profile from the left-hand navigation menu under Social profiles

  2. Click the orange Export drop-down at the top-right

  3. Select an export option (i.e., PDF live preview, Send PDF, Other export options)
    Note: When selecting the PDF live preview option, a new window will open, allowing you to customize your report and preview the changes in real time.

  4. (Optional) For CSV exports, click on the Customize export icon and add selected filters

  5. Click Export
    Note: When using the PDF live preview option, you will have two export options:

    • Download PDF

    • Send PDF (Email)

Exports will be sent via email to the email address associated with your Agorapulse user account.

Please note: In the CSV Content Performance exports, the Content Type column is only displayed on Instagram exports. For Facebook, LinkedIn, and X, you will need to select the Content Type from the Custom Filters in your reports prior to exporting to see content of a specific type.

Note: Report exports may be delayed during periods of high export volume. Weekly reports (sent on Mondays) and monthly reports (sent on the 2nd of each month) are generated on the same day for all clients, and can contribute to temporary delays in the reports' delivery.


How to export individual graphs in reports

It is possible to export individual visuals (graphs or charts) from sections within the Audience Report, Posts Insights Report, and Competitors Report. These sections can be exported for the following social profiles:

  • Facebook

  • Instagram

  • Threads

  • LinkedIn

  • X (Twitter)

  • TikTok

  • YouTube

To export an individual graph in reports, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the desired section of the relevant report

  2. Click Export chart on the top right of the section header

The graph/chart will be downloaded in PNG format.


How to export Social Media ROI reports

Social Media ROI reports (Social Analytics, Your Social ROI, and Content) can be exported to your email as a PDF file. You can export your Social Media ROI report by:

  1. Under Analytics, select Social Media ROI

  2. Select the report that you would like to export (Social Analytics, Your Social ROI, and Content)

  3. Click the orange Export icon on the top-right

The export will be sent via email to the email address associated with your Agorapulse user account as a PDF.

Please note: In Social Media ROI reports, individual graphs cannot be exported.


How to schedule automatic report exports

Please note: Automatic report exports (included in the Power Reports feature) are available for users on an Advanced or Custom plan. If you would like to change your plan to access this feature, feel free to reach out to us here.

It is possible to set up automatic report exports and schedule them to be sent to your email on a regular basis for both Report Studio and Single Reports.

Report Studio

For Report Studio, the following reports are available for automatic export:

  • PDF - All tabs

  • PDF - Customize

To schedule an export for Report Studio, please follow these steps:

  1. Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner of your screen

  2. Select Organization settings

  3. Select the Scheduled reports sub-menu

  4. Under Report Studio, select the report that you would like to schedule

  5. Click Schedule report

  6. Enter the report name

  7. Choose the type of report:

    • PDF - All tabs

    • PDF - Customize

  8. Configure the language

  9. Configure the timezone

  10. Configure the date and time format

  11. Select what day of the week the report should start on (Sunday or Monday)

  12. Choose the report export frequency:

    • Weekly: Select the day of the week and time that the report will be exported each week

    • Monthly: You can select between the following export options

      • On the 2nd of each month: Your report will be exported on the 2nd day of each month at a selected time
        Or

      • On a specific weekday: Select if you want to export your report on the First, Second, Third, or Last week of the month, then the specific day of the week, and then the time you want the report exported.

  13. Select Internal recipients from your Agorapulse organization
    Users with a Member role can only select themselves

  14. Add an External recipient by entering their email and first/last name
    You can add multiple External recipients by selecting + Add another external recipient

  15. Click Save

The scheduled export will now be visible in the Scheduled reports menu.

Single Reports

For Single Reports, the following reports are available for automatic export:

  • PDF - All metrics

  • PDF - Customize

  • CSV- All metrics

  • CSV - Content performance only

  • PowerPoint - All metrics

To schedule a Single Report export, please follow these steps:

  1. Choose a social profile from the left-hand navigation menu under Social profiles

  2. Click Schedule reports on the top right
    or
    Click Schedule your report and receive it in an automatic, recurring way in the Export options pop-up

  3. Select + Schedule report in the Scheduled reports menu

  4. Enter the report name

  5. Choose the type of report:

    • PDF - All metrics

    • PDF - Selected Data

    • CSV- All metrics

    • CSV - Content performance only

    • PowerPoint - All metrics

  6. Configure the language

  7. Configure the timezone
    Scheduled reports are usually sent by default at 10:00 am (in line with the configured timezone)

  8. Configure the date and time format

  9. Select what day of the week the report should start on (Sunday or Monday)

  10. Choose the report export frequency:

    • Weekly: Select the day of the week and time that the report will be exported each week

    • Monthly: You can select between the following export options

      • On the 2nd of each month: Your report will be exported on the 2nd day of each month at a selected time
        Or

      • On a specific weekday: Select if you want to export your report on the First, Second, Third, or Last week of the month, then the specific day of the week, and then the time you want the report exported.

  11. Select Internal recipients from your Agorapulse organization
    Users with a Member role can only select themselves

  12. Add an External recipient by entering their email and first/last name
    You can add multiple External recipients by selecting + Add another external recipient

  13. Click Save

The scheduled report export will now be visible in the Scheduled reports menu.

Please note: Filters are not available for scheduled report exports.

How to manage scheduled reports

From the Scheduled reports menu, you can edit or delete scheduled report exports.

To edit or delete a scheduled report export from the Scheduled reports menu:

  1. Click on the name of the scheduled report

  2. Click the Pencil icon to make any changes to the Export settings and press Save
    or
    To delete the scheduled report, click the Bin icon and click Yes, delete to confirm the deletion


How to validate your email as an external recipient

If an external recipient's email is not validated, a red warning will appear in Agorapulse under the recipient's email after the Weekly or Monthly report has been sent, saying: "This email address has not been validated by the user."

To continue receiving scheduled reports, the external recipient must validate their email. To validate their email, they will need to:

  1. Check their email for an email titled "Your weekly/monthly __ report" once the first Weekly or Monthly report has been sent

  2. After opening the email, under "To continue receiving this report every week", they will need to click Confirm your email.

Troubleshooting

If email validation is not working, remove and re-add the external recipient by following these steps:

  1. Go to Organization Settings

  2. Click Scheduled Reports

  3. Select the relevant social profile used for the scheduled report

  4. Remove the external recipient from the scheduled report

  5. Add the external recipient again
