What X (Twitter) Lite and X (Twitter) Plus Explained

Find out the difference between X Lite and X Plus!

Updated over a week ago

Agorapulse now integrates with the new X (formerly Twitter) Enterprise API. As a result, two tiers of access are available for X profiles:

  • X Lite - applied by default to all connected profiles

  • X Plus - available as a paid add-on

This article explains the differences between these tiers, what each includes, and how to upgrade if needed.

For more information on connecting an X profile, please take a look at this article.

Note: Every connected X profile (X Lite or X Plus) counts toward your total number of social profiles in your Agorapulse subscription. To enable X Plus or to to add additional social profiles, you must purchase the relevant add-on in the Subscription settings.

What is X Lite?

All connected X profiles are automatically assigned the X Lite tier. No action is required to enable this version. X Lite exclusively allows for publishing to X.

Features Available in X Lite

  • Publishing

    • Schedule and publish tweets from Agorapulse

    • There is no limit to how many tweets can be published

  • Limitations

    • Tweets published natively on X will not sync to the Agorapulse calendar

    • The Inbox and Reports features are not supported

What is the X Plus add-on?

The X Plus add-on unlocks enhanced engagement and reporting functionality for one X profile. If you require access to the Inbox or Reports for an X profile, upgrading to X Plus is necessary.

To activate this add-on, Owners and Managers can follow the steps outlined here.

Features Available in X Plus

  • Publishing

    • Schedule and publish tweets

    • Tweets published natively on X will sync to the Agorapulse Calendar, Inbox, and Reports

  • Social Media Inbox

  • Reports

    • Access performance metrics and activity data for the connected X profile

Important Notes

  • Historical data will not be imported retroactively; data begins syncing once X Plus is activated.
