How to add a first comment to a post

Schedule a first comment at the same time you schedule your post!

Updated over 3 weeks ago

You can use Agorapulse to schedule a first comment for your Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook posts. This is useful if you want to add hashtags, extra context, or a call-to-action without cluttering your main caption.

In Agorapulse, you can add a first comment directly when creating an Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn post. The comment will publish at the same time as your post, appearing just below it.

Please Note: Adding a first comment is available to users on the following subscription plans : Professional, Advanced, Custom. To upgrade your plan and access this feature, contact us here.

Drag and drop or click Browse files

  3. Scroll down to the Social Network options panel

  4. Toggle on First comment

  5. Enter the text you want to appear as the first comment—this could include emojis, hashtags (or hashtag groups), mentions, or any standard text

Instagram limits:2200 characters and 30 hashtags max
    Facebook limits: 2000 characters
    LinkedIn limits: 3000 characters

Once you follow these steps and finalize the post creation and scheduling process, your first comment will be published automatically alongside your post at the scheduled time. It will also appear in both the Social Media Preview and the Shared Calendar.

Note: Instagram’s 30 hashtag limit includes hashtags in both the caption and the first comment combined.
