Agorapulse Notifications Explained

Learn how to configure notifications in Agorapulse to stay on top of key updates.

Notifications can be configured within the Personal Settings in order to help you keep up-to-date with everything Agorapulse! The following types of notifications can be configured in Agorapulse:

  • In-app Desktop Notifications

  • Mobile Push Notifications

  • Email Notifications

  • Slack Notifications

In this article we will outline the different types of notifications that are available, including:

  • Token Expiry Alerts

  • Inbox & Listening

  • Publishing

Please Note: Slack notifications are available for users on a Tailored plan. More information about this integration is available here.


How to configure Agorapulse notifications

Notifications can be configured in the Agorapulse desktop and mobile application. Below we will outline how to access the notification settings:

How to configure notifications on Agorapulse desktop

  1. Click on your avatar on the bottom left of the screen

  2. Click on Personal settings

  3. Select the Notifications sub-menu

  4. Edit the notifications

  5. Press Save when complete

Once in the Notifications settings, there are three types of notifications:

  • In-app (Not customizable)

  • Email

  • Mobile

  • Slack (If integrated)

When possible, you can check the box under the relevant heading to configure specific notifications. All available notifications can be found below. Some notifications can be configured by social profile. To configure notifications by social profile:

  1. Click Set by social profile

  2. (De)Select notifications by social profile

  3. Press Save when complete

How to configure notifications in the Agorapulse mobile app

  1. Open the Agorapulse mobile application

  2. Click the settings cog

  3. Select the Notifications sub-menu

  4. Toggle notifications on and off

Please Note: Push notifications must be enabled in order to receive mobile notifications. For more information on troubleshooting mobile notifications, please take a look at this article.

What Agorapulse notifications are available?

Agorapulse offers different notifications for the various features. These are outlined below:

General Notifications

  • Hourly report - An hourly overview of the activity in your Agorapulse organization. Only available on mobile.
    ​

Tokens Alerting Notifications

  • Token health digest - Be regularly updated on the status of your tokens. This option can be utilized to provide a summary of token status across all social profiles, rather than relying on individual expiry notifications. No digest will be sent if there are no tokens expired or at risk.

    The following options can be toggled on or off per organization:
    ​
    ​Receive email digest - Choose to receive an email digest daily or weekly (every Monday) that contains all expired tokens and tokens that are close to expiry. The default is set to weekly.
    ​

    Receive in app digest at log in - Choose to receive an pop-up notification upon login that contains all expired tokens and tokens that are close to expiry.
    ​

Please Note: Token health digest emails are sent by default to Owners/Managers and to Members (for the profiles they have access to). Guest users are not able to receive these notifications.

  • Token real time alerts - Be notified when tokens are at risk. Notifications will be sent 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before a token is set to expire. A notification will also be sent the day the token expires.

    ​Available via email/mobile and automatically via in-app notification. This notification can be configured by social profile.

Inbox & Listening Notifications

Inbox and Listening notifications can be configured individually or by social profile.

  • Inbox item assigned - Be notified when a user assigns you an Inbox item to review (Desktop, Email and Mobile)

  • Inbox Assistant rule - Be notified when an Inbox Assistant rule assigns you an Inbox item to review (Desktop and Email only)

  • Listening item assigned - Be notified when a user assigns you a Listening item to review (Desktop and Email only)

Publishing Notifications

Publishing notifications can be configured individually or by social profile.

  • Publishing parent post assigned - Be notified when a user asks you to review a publishing parent post (Desktop, Email and Mobile)

  • Publishing parent post commented - Be notified when a user comments on a publishing parent post you have worked on (Desktop and Email only)

  • Publishing parent post updated - Be notified when a user edits a publishing parent post you've worked on (Desktop and Email only)

  • Publishing parent post rejected - Be notified when a user rejects a publishing parent post you've worked on (Desktop, Email and Mobile)

  • Publishing parent post approved - Be notified when a user approves a publishing parent post you have worked on (Desktop, Email and Mobile)

  • Publishing post failed - Be notified when one of your publishing items was not published (Desktop, Email and Mobile)

Please Note: You will only see the notifications you are allowed to receive. ie: a Moderator on all social profiles will be able to manage all Inbox notifications but not the Publishing notifications. Check out this article for more information on roles and their permissions.
