These are words you will commonly see when using Agorapulse


Features

In the drop-downs below, we will break down individual Agorapulse features based on the section of Agorapulse that they are under (e.g., AI & Automations, Inbox, Integrations, etc)

AI & Automations

Recommends relevant and trending hashtags based on post content and your audience.

Allows you to get specific message recommendations based on how you handled similar interactions in the past. Only available for DMs.

AI summarizes your social metrics, highlights trends, and suggests performance improvements for quick sharing and smarter decision-making.

Helps to create or improve social media copy, to write from scratch, rephrase existing posts, adjust tone or length, or translate content into other languages

Helps you and your team stay informed about updates in the Inbox and Publishing tools, as well as token-related issues on Microsoft Teams.

A self-hosted integration allowing Agorapulse to connect with AI assistants like ChatGPT or Claude. Users can create content, track engagement, and organize calendars without leaving their AI tool.

Inbox

Allows you to manage multiple inbox items at once (e.g., comments, mentions, messages) from a centralized location.

A real-time feature that alerts team members when a colleague is already replying to or viewing the same inbox item. Prevents duplicate replies and confusion in collaborative environments.

Combine multiple social profiles into one unified inbox.

Create and save specific sets of filters for individual social profiles in your Agorapulse Inbox and Custom Inboxes.

Allows you to monitor and respond to interactions (comments, reviews, direct messages, mentions, or ad comments) across your connected social profiles.

Create labels to help organize similar types of conversations.

Monitoring public mentions or keywords across social media platforms.

Create replies for your team to use when replying to common questions.

Shorten links using either Agorapulse's tracker (Pulse.ly) or Bitly.

Publishing

A written description of an image that screen readers use to describe visual content to visually impaired users.

A multi-step process that enables seamless collaboration among people within or outside your organization.

Allows you to store, organize, and manage media files that can be used when creating a post.

Create customized rules that will apply to Inbox items that match specific conditions and automate that action within the Inbox.

Provides an optimal day and time to publish a post inside the Publishing Composer for a given social profile, based on that profile's past engagement data.

Allows you to upload and schedule multiple posts or drafts at once using a CSV file.

Internal annotations added to your content calendar. These can include context, reminders, or campaign details without appearing on the published post. Calendar notes can also be displayed directly in shared calendars

This is a post created together by two or more accounts on Instagram. For example, one account invites another as a collaborator. Once accepted, the post appears on both profiles, and they share the same likes, comments, and engagement.

A process for streamlining the scheduling of identical content by inserting pre-defined values like names, dates, locations, or signatures.

Draft posts allow you to save content that is not yet ready for publication, and can include a scheduled publishing time, but they will not publish.

Allows you to add hashtags, extra context, or a call-to-action without cluttering your main post, and is published at the same time as your post.

Create and manage reusable sets of hashtags for publishing.

Create and publish LinkedIn polls with customizable questions, up to four answers, and adjustable duration. Polls appear in your calendar, filters, and email previews like standard posts.

Allows you to manage multiple items at once (posts, comments, or messages) from a centralized location.

Create labels to help organize and report on published content.

Allows you to increase the reach of a Facebook post by turning it into a paid promotion.

Target audiences more precisely on LinkedIn and Facebook using advanced filters like language, location, industry, and job function.

A link in bio feature available for Instagram profiles, allowing you to create a customizable landing page that includes call-to-action buttons linking to any URLs, a grid layout of Instagram posts, or both.

Allows you to tag products directly in an Instagram post, carousel, or Reel. Viewers can see details such as price and description, and in supported regions, complete the purchase without leaving Instagram.

Create, schedule, and publish content across all major social media platforms.

Automate content publishing without having to schedule every post manually. Posts will be automatically published according to the set timeslot.

Share and assign scheduled content with clients or collaborators who do not have an Agorapulse account.

Shorten links using either Agorapulse's tracker (Pulse.ly) or Bitly.

A series of connected tweets is published together to share additional context, updates, or related content.

Organization management

Create campaigns for individuals to share or engage with your branded content on social media. Allowing you to track open rate, click-through rates, share rates, and traffic generated at the advocate and campaign levels.

User-defined permission templates that can be applied at the Organization level and to individual Social Profiles.

Organization roles define what a user can do at the organization level, across the entire Agorapulse organization. These roles primarily control account configuration, billing, user management, and organizational settings.

Securely sign in to Agorapulse using a Google account or an account associated with your company's domain.

These define what actions a user can take within an individual social profile inside Agorapulse.

When enabled, you will be required to "confirm" your login credentials (email/password login) with a 6-digit code generated by an authenticator app. Organization owners can enforce the usage of 2FA for all users.

An add-on for X (Twitter) that provides publishing-only access for $/€29 per connected X profile per month.

An add-on for X (Twitter) that provides access to Publishing, the Inbox, and Reports for $/€69 per connected X profile per month.

Reports

Provides profile-level insights allowing you to identify key engagement trends, demographics, and follower behavior

This report measures individual and average metrics related to managing items within Agorapulse's Inbox.

Allows you to compare your competitors with each other and with yourself.

Provides aggregated metrics for all posts that were published on a social profile within the selected reporting period.

Provides insights on a per post basis for all posts that were published on the relevant social profile within the selected reporting period.

An integration that allows for the review of paid campaign performance for LinkedIn ad accounts.

An integration that provides a comprehensive solution for analyzing both organic and paid social media performance on Instagram and Facebook.

Allows you to export data from Agorapulse reports to external platforms.

Power Reports provide an additional set of reporting features that are available to users on an Advanced or Custom plan. These features include Custom Reports, Automated Report Exports, PPTX exports, and Custom Comparison periods

Use your Google Account to access Google Analytics data or track links in your posts with Pulse.ly to get insights on how your posts and profiles are driving traffic, leads, and revenue.



Terms

In the drop-downs below, we will break down terms based on the feature that they are under, as well as general terms that are used across the platform.

General

Ad account

A connection between Agorapulse and a paid advertising account on a social platform, such as Facebook Ads

API

APIs enable two software components to communicate with each other using a set of definitions and protocols.

API keys

Used to authenticate and identify an application or user making requests to an API.

Approver

An internal or external user who has been assigned a post or inbox item to review.


External user

External users don't have an Agorapulse account, and manage assigned posts (approvals & rejections) from a Shared Calendar.

Internal user

A user who has an Agorapulse account and manages content inside Agorapulse.

Organization

Where you publish content, reply to inbox items, and view reports.

Pulse.ly

Agorapulse's link shortener

Reconnect

The action of re-authorizing a social profile's connection to Agorapulse. This is typically done when a token expires or data stops syncing.

Seat Sharing

Agorapulse's system detects when a single user account is being logged into from multiple devices or locations simultaneously.

Sentiment

Used to track the health of your brand

Social profile

Any of the social media network profiles that can be managed from Agorapulse.

Social profile connection

The process of linking a social account to Agorapulse through platform authentication.

Token

A security credential that allows Agorapulse to access a social media account through the platform's API.

Token expired

Tokens expire periodically for security reasons. When this happens, the profile must be reconnected to restore data syncing and publishing access.

UTM

URL parameters (source, medium, campaign) added to links shared in social replies and messages, allowing attribution of traffic and conversions back to specific social campaigns.

Inbox

Conversation Export

Conversation export allows you to export comments from the Inbox as CSV files.

Inbox item

Refers to interactions in the Inbox like comments, reviews, direct messages, mentions, and ad comments.

Inbox zero

A workflow approach where teams process all incoming conversations until none remain open.

Mentions (Inbox)

Includes the account handle (@name) in the text of your reply. Mentions can be added to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter) replies.​

Listening

AND operator

Listens for content where all keywords appear If one is missing, it’s not fetched (ex Agorapulse AND Social Media AND Listening).


Boolean operator

These are foundational search tools used to connect keywords (OR & AND).

OR operator

Fetches either keyword in a search (e.g., Agorapulse OR Social Media OR Listening).

Listening Builder

Allows users to create listening searches using a guided experience by combining keywords, hashtags, or mentions searches with target sources

Sources

The network(s) that are being listened to (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, etc.)

Publishing

Cross-post

This usually means taking the same content and publishing it across different accounts or platforms. Each post is separate, even if the content is identical. Engagement is not shared, and each version exists independently.

External Advocates

Influencers, brand ambassadors, or partners outside your company

Failed Posts View

A dedicated view showing posts that encountered a publishing error. Users can see clearly displayed error messages and retry publishing with a single click, eliminating the need to duplicate and republish.

Hashtags

Keywords or phrases, without spaces, that categorize social media content to increase discoverability, engagement, and reach.

Link preview

A link preview refers to the visual summary automatically generated when a link is added to a post. It includes the title, description, and thumbnail image extracted from the metadata of the linked web page.

Magic Link

A link that is sent to external collaborators (clients, approvers) to access posts assigned to them for review without needing a full Agorapulse account. The magic link is only generated after the external user has been saved. Sending it before saving causes an error.

Mentions (Publishing)

Includes the account handle (@name) in the text of your post. Mentions can be added to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, and Bluesky posts.

Tagging

Tags the account in the image or media element of the post (not in the text) on Instagram and X (Twitter).

Time slot

Used to control when posts in a queue are published

Reporting

Custom branding

Allows you to brand your report by adding a logo as well as the author of the report.

Custom comparison period

Allows you to compare metrics between two specific periods

Data Export

The ability to export reports or analytics data as CSV, PDF, or PPTX files for external reporting, compliance, or auditing.

Organic data

Social media performance metrics that come from unpaid content.

Paid data

Metrics related to content promoted through paid advertising.

Variation

Variations appear as color-coded percentages in the header of specific metrics after setting a custom comparison period. Allowing you to see the percentage difference between the two reporting periods.

Audience report

Audience growth

Number of followers gained during the selected period

Demographics

Demographic information about your audience

Engagement

Any interaction between a social media user and a post.

Engagement rate

Level of interaction with content divided by views or reach.

Estimated minutes watched

The time people spent watching videos from your channel.

Hashtag analytics

Metrics showing hashtag performance, including reach, engagement, and trending status. Helps teams identify which hashtags drive the most visibility.

Hashtags and interactions

Number of interactions generated by hashtags used in your posts

Impressions

Number of times your page's content has been viewed

Label distribution

Distribution of labels applied to inbox/listening items and published items in Agorapulse.

Mentions

The number of mentions of your profile containing your brand name for the selected period

Reach

Number of unique users who have viewed your profile's content during

Social analytics

Detailed performance metrics showing engagement, reach, impressions, clicks, and audience growth across social profiles. Reports can be customized, filtered, and exported.

User's activity

Average day and hour users interacted most with the page's content. This is based on inbox activities (comments, private messages, and posts)

Video views

The number of times your page's videos have been viewed during the selected period

Views

The number of times your page's content has been viewed during the selected period.

Subscription

Add-ons

An optional, separately purchased feature that sits on top of the base subscription plan. Current add-ons include X (Twitter) Lite, X (Twitter) Plus, additional Competitors, Advocacy, and Listening.

Legacy subscription

Legacy subscription refers to pricing/subscription models that are no longer offered by Agorapulse.

PPU (Pricing Per User)

PPU or Pricing Per User is Agorapulse's current pricing model. The cost of each plan is based on one user, and each additional user is charged at the same rate as the first user.
